Ingredients
- 2kg pork belly (skin removed)
- 2 star anise
- 120mls dark soy sauce
- 60g of fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp ground black pepper
- For glaze:
- 6 tbsp dark soya
- 6 tbsp honey
Method
- Place pork in medium pot and cover with cold water, star anise, soy, ginger and pepper. Bring to boil, simmer for 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 200C
- Place meat on roasting pan and drizzle with glaze. Place in oven and reduce the heat to 150C after 15 mins. Bake for 1 hour.
- Serve immediately
