Ingredients

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 clove mashed garlic
  • 3 cups chopped plum tomatoes
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 lb cooked pasta, drained

Method

  • 1. Heat oil in a large saucepan.
  • 2. Saute onions and garlic until translucent.
  • 3. Pour in tomatoes and broth.
  • 4. Once it boils, lower heat.
  • 5. Add spices and simmer 30 minutes until sauce is thick.
  • 6. Pour sauce over pasta.
