Ingredients
- 2 lb. round steak
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 (1 lb. 12 oz.) can tomatoes
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. red wine or water
- 2 green peppers, sliced
- 1/2 c. sliced ripe olives (optional)
Method
- Cut meat in serving pieces.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper; pound into meat.
- Brown in hot oil.
- Add tomatoes, onions, garlic and wine.
- Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours.
- Add peppers and olives; cook 15 minutes, or until peppers are tender.
- Serve with rice. Serves 6.
