Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
- Blend in flour and vanilla.
- Add pecans and mix.
- If mixture is too stiff, add a tablespoon of water.
- Shape into 3/4 to 1-inch balls.
- Place on cookie sheet.
- Bake 10 minutes or until light brown at 350°.
- Cool 5 minutes.
- Roll in additional powdered sugar while still warm.
