Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 1/2 c. Karo (light or dark or mix) syrup
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Grease jelly roll pan.
- Beat flour, sugar and margarine until crumbly.
- Press firmly in pan.
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes, or until golden.
- Prepare filling by stirring eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine and vanilla until blended.
- Stir in pecans. Spread evenly over crust.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes, or until set.
- Cool.
- Makes 60 (1 1/2-inch) bars.
