Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. light Karo
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, broken
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Method
- While preheating oven to 350°, toast 1 1/2 cups of pecans with 3 tablespoons of butter in an empty pie pan, stirring often, until golden brown.
- Watch closely because they burn easily.
- While pecans are browning, in an electric mixer bowl, break eggs.
- Mix slowly while adding Karo, brown sugar and vanilla.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Gently mix in pecans and butter.
- Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until set.
