Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp.vanilla
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 stick butter
- dash of salt
- 9-inch pie shell
Method
- Brown butter in iron skillet.
- Remove from heat and add the sugar, stirring until well blended.
- Mix eggs and corn syrup with sugar and butter.
- Beat thoroughly.
- Add vanilla, salt and chopped nuts.
- Mix well.
- Place in unbaked pie shell.
- Cook for 10 minutes at 425°.
- Reduce heat to 350° and cook until a silver knife inserted in center of filling comes out clean.
- Good.
