Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 9 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2 1/2 c. chopped pecans
  • powdered sugar

Method

  • Cream butter and 9 tablespoons powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in vanilla; add flour and nutmeg, mixing until well blended.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Shape dough into finger shapes about 2 inches long.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 300° for 18 to 20 minutes.
  • Cook and roll each in powdered sugar. Yields about 4 dozen.
