Ingredients

  • 1 c. pecans
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. cake flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Heat oven to 325°.
  • Chop pecans rather coarsely.
  • Cream butter and shortening until smooth, then beat in confectioners sugar gradually.
  • Stir in flour thoroughly; add vanilla and pecans.
  • Mix well.
  • Roll in balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until delicately brown.
  • Roll again in confectioners sugar.
