Ingredients
- 1 c. pecans
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. plus 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 c. confectioners sugar
- 2 1/2 c. cake flour
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Heat oven to 325°.
- Chop pecans rather coarsely.
- Cream butter and shortening until smooth, then beat in confectioners sugar gradually.
- Stir in flour thoroughly; add vanilla and pecans.
- Mix well.
- Roll in balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until delicately brown.
- Roll again in confectioners sugar.
