- 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 pkg. whole pecans
- 1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
Method
- In a large saucepan, combine the first 4 ingredients.
- Cook over medium heat until all sugar is dissolved.
- Gradually add milk and mix well. Continue cooking until reaches 248° or firm ball stage. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
- Fold in pecans.
- Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper lined cookie sheets. Chill until firm. Melt chocolate chips and shortening in microwave. Drizzle over clusters.
