Ingredients
- 16 c. popped corn
- 5 c. pecan halves (or any nuts)
- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Mix popcorn and nuts in large baking pan.
- In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar and corn syrup.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add vanilla and baking soda.
- Pour over popcorn and nuts.
- Stir well.
- Bake in preheated 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Makes 5 quarts.
