Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. white syrup
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Cook sugar and syrup in water until syrup spins a thread.
- Add nuts and cook until golden brown.
- Syrup will look like it's burning.
- Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.
- Stir while it is bubbling.
- Pour onto greased aluminum foil.
- Spread thin.
