Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 star anise
- 2 vanilla pods
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 6 pears
Method
- Pour the water and sugar in a large saucepan. Add the star anise, vanilla pods, and cinnamon. Simmer for 10 minutes or until it becomes a syrup.
- Wash and peel pears. Cut them in half lengthwise.
- Place the pears in the syrup and let them cook 15 to 30 minutes.
- Remove from the pan and serve warm.
