Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/8 t nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup yogurt or buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup coarsely-chopped, cored pears
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/2 t baking soda
Method
- Cream butter, gradually beat in sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Combine dry ingredients; add to egg mixture alternately with yogurt. Stir in pears and vanilla. Pour into buttered 9"x5"x3" loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
