Ingredients
- 1/3 c. peanut butter (plus 2 Tbsp.)
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar
- pie shell, baked
- 3 egg yolks (save whites for topping)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 c. canned milk
- pinch salt
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Blend peanut butter and powdered sugar into a crumb mixture. Put 2/3 of crumbs in baked pie shell.
- Cook in double boiler, scald milk.
- Mix flour, sugar and salt.
- Put into milk, stir in 3 egg yolks beaten, cook until thick.
- Stir in 2 Tbsp. peanut butter 1/4 tsp. vanilla, let cool. Pour in pie shell over powdered sugar and peanut butter crumbs.
