Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. peanut butter (plus 2 Tbsp.)
  • 3/4 c. powdered sugar
  • pie shell, baked
  • 3 egg yolks (save whites for topping)
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 2 c. canned milk
  • pinch salt
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Blend peanut butter and powdered sugar into a crumb mixture. Put 2/3 of crumbs in baked pie shell.
  • Cook in double boiler, scald milk.
  • Mix flour, sugar and salt.
  • Put into milk, stir in 3 egg yolks beaten, cook until thick.
  • Stir in 2 Tbsp. peanut butter 1/4 tsp. vanilla, let cool. Pour in pie shell over powdered sugar and peanut butter crumbs.
