Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. white sugar (granulated)
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Blend Crisco, sugar and eggs.
  • Add peanut butter and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together and add to first mixture.
  • Roll into walnut size balls with hands and place on baking sheet.
  • Flatten cookies with hands and mark top with fork tines.
  • Bake at 400° for about 8 minutes.
