Ingredients
- 1/3 c. soft butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 c. peanut butter
- 2 eggs
Method
- Cream butter; sift in flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add peanut butter and 2/3 cup milk.
- Mix until all flour is dampened and then beat 2 minutes at low speed.
- Add rest of milk, eggs and vanilla.
- Beat 2 more minutes.
- Pour into 2 (9-inch) cake pans lined with wax paper or rectangular cake pan.
- Bake at 375° for 25 minutes.
- Cool completely and frost with Peanut Butter Frosting.
