Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 unbeaten egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 36 solid milk chocolate candy kisses
Method
- Sift together flour, soda and salt.
- Cream together shortening and peanut butter; gradually add sugar and brown sugar.
- Cream well.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla.
- Beat well, blending in mix thoroughly.
- Shape teaspoon rounded balls; roll in sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375° for 8 minutes.
- Remove from oven and place unwrapped candy kiss in center of cookies. Return to oven for 2 to 5 minutes longer.
