Ingredients
- 4 eggs, separated
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. lemon juice
- whipped cream
Method
- Bring egg whites to room temperature.
- Beat until they are really stiff; they look dry.
- Mix together sugar and cornstarch. Add to egg whites and mix in very fast.
- Add vinegar and beat only enough to mix.
- Form mixture in a mounded circle on aluminum foil, greased very lightly.
- Flatten top.
- Heat oven to 300°, turn down to 225°; bake for 45 minutes.
- Turn oven off for 30 minutes; do not open during this time.
- Turn upside down on plate.
