Ingredients

  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 13 cup flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 -5 free stone peaches
  • 1 unbaked pie shell

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 450F.
  • Peel the peaches and cut in halves.
  • Separate the fruit from the pit.
  • Arrange the peach halves face down in the pie crust.
  • Mix the flour and sugar together.
  • Then add the half and half, egg, and vanilla.
  • Mix well.
  • Pour the custard mix over the peaches.
  • Bake at 450F for 10 minutes.
  • Lower heat to 350F for 50 minutes or until the custard is set.
  • Remove from the oven and cool on a rack.
