Ingredients

  • 8 oz. spaghetti
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 carton frozen broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced fresh garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
  • 1/3 c. chopped onions
  • 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
  • 5 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/3 c. Velveeta

Method

  • Cook spaghetti and drain.
  • Cook broccoli according to package directions to tender-crisp.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large, heavy skillet over moderate heat.
  • Stir in garlic, basil leaves, onions and parsley.
  • Cook 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Turn off heat and gently mix in with cooked broccoli.
