Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 Tbsp. red cooking wine
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • your favorite pasta

Method

  • In a medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender.
  • Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, cooking wine, sugar, oregano and basil.
  • Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook pasta; drain and serve with sauce.
