- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp. red cooking wine
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- your favorite pasta
Method
- In a medium saucepan, cook onion and garlic in hot oil until tender.
- Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste, cooking wine, sugar, oregano and basil.
- Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta; drain and serve with sauce.
