Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 14 oz. drained sauerkraut
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 oz. wide egg noodles
  • 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter

Method

  • Brown the meat.
  • Saute onion in the oil. Add soup, sauerkraut, salt and pepper.
  • Cook the noodles according to directions on package.
  • Add to meat mixture.
  • Put in 3-quart casserole that has been greased.
  • Mix bread crumbs, cheese and melted butter. Sprinkle over the top and bake at 350° for 30 minutes, uncovered.
