Ingredients
- 3 c. chopped celery (about 5 ribs), cooked for 7 minutes in salted water and drained
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 3 1/2 oz. pkg. slivered almonds
- 1 stick margarine
- 32 Ritz crackers, crushed
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Combine the first 3 ingredients and put in an 8-inch casserole dish.
- In the microwave, saute the almonds with the margarine for about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.
- Pour almonds over the crushed crackers and toss lightly.
- Spread cracker mixture over celery mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Makes 8 servings.
