Ingredients
- 5 or 6 parsnips, peeled and sliced
- 1 pt. milk
- 1 Tbsp. fryings, butter or margarine
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. sugar
Method
- Cook parsnips in a deep pan with milk and fryings.
- Add salt, pepper and sugar.
- Cook until tender; mash like potatoes, put in a greased casserole dish.
- Add a few dots of butter or margarine; sprinkle with a little sugar.
- Bake at 350° until brown.
