Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 14 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 12 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  • First set eggs and milk on counter and let warm to room temperature.
  • While eggs and milk warm, in a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  • After thoroughly sifting the ingredients make a well in the center of the bowl to pour in the wet ingredients.
  • In a small bowl, beat eggs lightly, then add melted butter and beat until mixed, finally lightly beat in milk and vanilla.
  • Next pour wet ingredients into the well in the large bowl, and mix until smooth.
  • Heat lightly oiled griddle or large frying pan over medium high heat.
  • Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto frying pan and wait till bubbles form, flip then brown other side and serve.
