Ingredients
- 1 can green beans
- 1 can lima beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can another variety (your choice)
- 16 strips bacon, cooked and chopped (reserve 1/2 bacon fat)
- 3 medium onions, chopped
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1 c. brown sugar
Method
- Brown onions in bacon fat.
- Add vinegar and brown sugar; cook 20 minutes.
- Mix beans with liquid and bake 1 hour in 350° oven. Do not cover.
- Stir occasionally.
- Best made in advance, then reheat.
