Ingredients

  • 2 lb. meat (chicken, beef or pork)
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 Tbsp. coriander
  • 1 tsp. oil or butter
  • salt to taste
  • 1 c. water or as needed

Method

  • Saute onion in fat; add seasoning and a little water.
  • Stir. Add meat and brown in the seasoned sauce; add more water and cook until tender.
  • For a little thicker gravy, dust the meat with flour before browning.
  • Serve with oven-boiled rice, a side dish of chepaties (tortillas), green beans or any vegetable of your choice.
