Ingredients
- 2 to 3 strips bacon
- 1/2 stalk (medium size) celery, diced
- 1/4 medium size onion, diced
- 1 pt. oysters
- 1 qt. milk
- dash of Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Fry bacon crisp.
- Remove and place on paper towel.
- Discard excess grease.
- Dice celery and onion.
- Saute in remaining grease until tender.
- Add oysters and liquor in pan and heat until oysters curl.
- Have milk heated and when oysters have curled, stir oyster mixture into milk.
- Add Old Bay seasoning.
- Add butter. Crumble bacon and sprinkle on top of stew after it has been dished into plates.
