Ingredients
- 1 (3 to 4 lb.) thick chuck steak (preferably no or little bone)
- 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
- 8 medium potatoes
- 3 medium onions
- 10 carrots
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
Method
- Brown steak in hot oil in skillet until both sides are medium brown.
- Place meat in large baking pan.
- Add concentrated soup and fill up each soup can again with water.
- Pour over meat.
- Add bay leaves, salt and pepper and sliced onions to pan.
- Cover tightly and cook for 1 hour.
