Ingredients

  • 15 c. popped popcorn
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Heat oven to 200°.
  • Divide popcorn between 2 ungreased rectangular pans, 13 x 9 x 2-inch.
  • Heat brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt to simmering over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes; remove from heat.
  • Stir in baking soda.
  • Pour over popcorn; stir until well coated.
  • Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
