Ingredients

  • 5 or 6 lb. beef brisket
  • 2 oz. commercial liquid smoke
  • celery salt
  • onion salt
  • garlic salt
  • pepper and salt
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • commercial barbecue sauce

Method

  • Pour liquid smoke over brisket placed in a baking dish. Generously sprinkle meat on both sides with celery salt, onion salt and garlic salt which tenderizes it.
  • Place in refrigerator, covered, overnight.
  • Next morning, sprinkle both sides of meat with salt and pepper and a little Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake 4 to 5 hours in 275° oven.
