Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/4 c. warm water
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Method
- Soften yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Combine eggs, shortening, sugar, yeast mixture, remaining warm water, salt and 2 1/2 cups flour.
- Beat until smooth.
- Add remaining flour to make soft dough.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Shape rolls three hours before baking.
- Let rise.
- Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Yields 4 dozen rolls.
