Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 c. shredded carrots
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 can (1/4 c.) water chestnuts, drained
  • 1/4 c. pineapple tidbits (with juice)
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. chow mein noodles

Method

  • Combine cabbage, carrots, pepper, onions, water chestnuts and pineapple.
  • In a small bowl mix vinegar, salt, pepper and sugar. Mix into vegetables.
  • Marinate several hours.
  • Add chow mein noodles just before serving.
