Ingredients

  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 t. black pepper
  • 2 t. paprika
  • 1 t. garlic salt
  • 1 t. dried marjoram
  • 8-9 chicken pieces

Method

  • Place the oil and butter in a shallow cooking pan (a jelly roll pan is perfect). Place in oven at 375° to melt. Set aside. In a large paper bag, combine the flour and seasonings. Roll the chicken pieces, 3 at a time, in the melted oil/butter mixture, then drop them in the paper bag. Shake to cover. Place on a dish or waxed paper.
