Ingredients
- 1/2 c. lightly salted butter or margarine
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 3 c. uncooked old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 c. chopped almonds
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Grease 8-inch square baking pan.
- Melt butter in large saucepan.
- Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar and honey until combined.
- Stir in oats and almonds.
- When well mixed, press into prepared pan using back of wooden spoon.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Remove from oven and place on wire rack.
- Press mixture down again and cut into bars.
- When cool, remove bars and store in airtight container at room temperature or wrap and freeze.
