Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 pkg. orange jello
  • 1 can mandarin oranges
  • 1/2 pkg. miniature marshmallows (approximately 2 c.)
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream (makes 2 c. when whipped)

Method

  • Drain juice from pineapple and oranges into saucepan and add flour, sugar and egg yolks.
  • Cook over medium heat until thick. Add dry jello, stirring until dissolved.
  • Cool jello mixture and pour over oranges and marshmallow mixture.
  • Whip cream and fold into other mixture.
  • Refrigerate until solid.
  • This salad will be slightly less solid than regular jello salad.
