Ingredients
- 2 large onions, minced fine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped very fine
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 4 c. milk
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. croutons (optional)
Method
- In the top of a double boiler, put in butter, onions and celery, then stir.
- Cook 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour, milk, salt and pepper.
- Cook for 15 minutes, then serve hot with croutons. Serves 4.
- (Makes 4 cups.)
