Ingredients

  • 1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 (1 lb. 15 oz. size) cans pork and beans
  • 1 (1 lb.) can butter beans, drained
  • 1 (1 lb.) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
  • 3 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper

Method

  • Brown beef in skillet; drain and put in cooker.
  • Brown bacon with onion; drain.
  • Crumble bacon.
  • Add both to cooker along with remaining ingredients.
  • Stir well.
  • Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours in crock-pot.
