Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (10 oz.) sharp Cheddar cheese (Cracker Barrel), sliced
  • 1 can pitted black olives, sliced
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • pepper to taste
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 pie crusts (Pet Ritz deep-dish)

Method

  • Brown ground chuck in skillet; drain well. Add onions, garlic salt, pepper and water. Cook until dry. Layer meat, olives, cheese and sliced tomatoes in bottom crust. Repeat, then cover with top crust. Make 3 or 4 holes near center of top crust with a fork to help vent the pie. Cook at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
