Ingredients
- 1 c. margarine (2 sticks; room temperature)
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
- 2 eggs
Method
- Mix the sugar, eggs and flavoring.
- Alternate with flour and melted margarine.
- It will be soft dough.
- Chill about 1 hour or until firm.
- On wax paper, sprinkle flour.
- Use about 1/3 of the batter.
- Sprinkle with flour; knead, roll out and cut with cookie cutter.
- Bake on cookie sheet at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes for soft cookies, 15 minutes for brittle cookies.
- They burn easily (be careful!).
