Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 5 c. cake flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda

Method

  • Cream Crisco and sugar.
  • Add eggs and vanilla to sour cream. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with the liquid to Crisco and sugar mixture.
  • Chill thoroughly.
  • Roll out 1 1/4-inches thick.
  • Cut with a large cutter.
  • Sprinkle with sugar and press lightly.
  • Bake in a moderate 375° oven for 15 minutes. Makes 100 cookies.
