Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1 3/4 c. sugar
- 5 whole eggs
- 2 c. flour (measure after 2 siftings)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream butter until fluffy.
- Add sugar to creamed butter and cream until light and fluffy.
- Drop in 1 whole egg at a time while beating.
- Stop beater and fold in flour.
- Add vanilla.
- Cook at 300° for 45 minutes.
- Turn up to 325° for 15 minutes to brown.
