Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups KRAFT Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 pkg. (7 oz.) elbow macaroni, cooked, drained
Method
- Melt butter in medium saucepan on low heat.
- Stir in flour and salt.
- Cook 2 minutes or until bubbly.
- Gradually stir in milk until smooth.
- Stirring constantly, cook on medium heat until mixture boils and thickens.
- Reduce heat to low; simmer 3 to 5 minutes.
- Add 1-1/2 cups of the cheese; stir until melted.
- Stir in macaroni.
- Spoon into 1-1/2-quart casserole.
- Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
