Ingredients
- 2 c. milk
- 2 eggs (whole)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- raisins (optional)
- 4 slices buttered toast
- nutmeg to taste
Method
- Break buttered toast into pieces; place in bottom of buttered dish or pan.
- Beat eggs; add milk, sugar and vanilla.
- Pour over bread; add raisins and nutmeg.
- Bake in preheated 325° oven until firm (about 20 to 30 minutes).
- Yields 4 servings.
