Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/3 tsp. salt
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. finely chopped tart apples
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. butter

Method

  • Combine sugar, flour and salt.
  • Add beaten egg, vanilla and sour cream.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Add apples.
  • Pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 325° and bake 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with mixture of brown sugar, flour and butter from above.
  • Bake an additional 20 minutes.
