Ingredients
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. white syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 4 1/2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Combine cocoa, sugar, salt, white syrup and milk.
- Bring to a boil, stirring often.
- Cook to 232° or until mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
- Remove from heat, drop in butter and cool to lukewarm (110°).
- Add vanilla and beat until mixture thickens.
- Pour into buttered pan and cut into squares.
