Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup raisins

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger and sugar.
  • Add vegetable oil, molasses, eggs and rolled oats.
  • Mix until blended.
  • Stir in raisins.
  • Dough will be soft.
  • Drop batter by heaping teaspoons onto nonstick baking sheet.
  • Bake at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let stand 1 minute.
  • Remove from baking sheet and cool. Yield: 48 cookies.
