Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 stick Parkay margarine
  • 1/2 c. Jif (reduced fat) peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. rolled oats
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Mix sugar, cocoa and salt.
  • Stir well, then add milk and margarine.
  • Cook until it clings to sides of saucepan.
  • Remove from heat, then add peanut butter, vanilla and oats.
  • Mix until peanut butter melts.
  • Place newspaper covered with waxed paper onto countertop.
  • Dip by tablespoons onto wax paper.
  • Makes 12 cookies, then go over the 12 cookies until you have used all the mixture. Let cool and place cookies onto platter.
