Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. oatmeal
  • 1/4 c. wheat germ
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped apricots

Method

  • Mix first 6 ingredients.
  • Mix flour, salt and soda; stir in. Stir in wheat germ and part of oatmeal.
  • Keep adding oatmeal and rest of ingredients.
  • Work with hands.
  • Drop large tablespoons on cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Take out and scrunch up!
  • Makes about 3 dozen.
